Awesome place for fishing and shrimping
I spent a Halloween weekend at the Paradise Cove and was immediately surrounded by a warm crowd of mariners and friends, and greeted by the owners who were very enthusiastic, hospitable, and frieldly. They do have a bar, karaoke, and a nice indoor and outdoor are for socializing and dining. They have a ramp for launching your small boats, as well as mooring for some larger boats. They are located at the back of the creek,so its quick in and quick out to the river and ocean. I believe they still have an area for camping Much more there, this was just my memory from my one visit. I would love to go back and look forward to it.
The new owners are replicating the hospitality of the old owners, the potlucks continue and people bring great food! The upgrade is having more live music, both on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. Debbie and Scott are friendly barkeeps and accommodating hosts for camping and marina services. The creek is close to River Dunes, Sea Harbour Yacht Club and less than 1/2 hr. away from Oriental central by motor boat. My wife likes the drive out through the country and the champagne they serve! Of course, I could be prejudiced....I play guitar with my friends upon occasion in this location. Come on out! I hear the shrimp are in, so bring the nets and settle back with a cold one when the throwing arm gets tired.
We recently vacationed at River Dunes Yacht Club and kept hearing about Paradise Cove. We loved it so much we went back two days in a row. Scott has a great selection of beer and wine. The food was fantastic! You have to try the hand made potato chips even though he has perfected his french fries we loved the chips. We had excellent service. He has a very friendly staff and the music selection was spot on as well. We loved it.
